Prof. Joaquin Diaz has worked as Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering in THM from 2009-2015. He specializes in Computer Science in Engineering, BIM, CAFM – Computer Aided Facility Management, Sustainable Building and Energy Efficient Building. He studied and got his PhD from the Department of Civil Engineering in the University of Technology Darmstadt, with his theme “Object-oriented modeling of geotechnical systems”. Since 2001 he is the CEO of the association BVBS- Bundesverband Bausoftware e.V. He is also a board member of the Chamber of Engineers of the State of Hesse.
Founded in 1971, the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) is a university for applied sciences. It is the largest of the five state universities for applied sciences in Hesse. THM is also the fourth largest university of applied sciences in the Federal Republic of Germany.
